Facing Adversity

“But you, LORD, are a shield about me;
you’re my glory, the lifter of my head.
I call out to the Lord, and he answers me…”
– Psalm 3:3-4

While it is often overlooked, Jesus clearly promised his disciples that they would face trials, temptation, and tribulation. However, he also promised them that he would never leave them or forsake them; and their heavenly Father would always hear from heaven and answer their prayers.

For better or worse, these promises are still true for us today. We will face adversity!

The good news, is that we have an advocate; One who will fight on our behalf. The Psalmist declares that He is our shield, our glory, and the lifter of our heads. He will sustain us through the most difficult of times; giving us peace, strength, and the power to overcome.

Always know that God’s presence is with you; the Lord is for you; and your deliverance comes from the Him alone. Declare with me today:

Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, my God!

In Christ,
Pastor Ken
