Being Christ-minded, Not Just “Biblically Correct”

Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.
– Jesus

When we study the life and teachings of Jesus through the Gospel accounts of the New Testament, we discover that Jesus faced heavy opposition. However, it is somewhat surprising—and rather disturbing—when we begin to realize that the religious leaders of Jesus’ day were His greatest opposition.

A great example of this “religious” opposition is found in the Gospel of John, in the eighth chapter. Here we witness the “teachers of the law and the Pharisees” attempting to entrap and accuse Jesus. However, he quickly reveals their hypocrisy and shows us the ethics of the Kingdom in his merciful act of forgiveness.

My prayer is that the Scripture would act as a mirror to reveal our heart attitudes, and bring us to greater Spiritual maturity in Christ.

May we not just seek to be “biblically correct,” but to also be Christ-minded!

In Christ,
Pastor Ken
